Skip Hire Terms & Conditions
A permit must be obtained to site skips on the Highway. The hirer must cone skips and use lighting provided during the hours of darkness.
If you require the skip to be sited off the main highway, CCC will NOT be held responsible for any damage caused but not limited to private property, driveways, pavements, footpaths, gates, walls, trees, telephone wires or private land during delivery or collection, this is at the owner’s risk.
Once skips are delivered they must NOT be moved. The skip is the full responsibility of the hirer and any damage caused where repairs are necessary will be recharged to the hirer. Skip hire is for 2 weeks from delivery date and will then be automatically raised as a collection unless notified otherwise. Extra hire is available at the discretion of CCC at a rate of £5.00 per day (plus VAT) minimum 1 week charge. Please note that during busy periods there could be delays on skip collections but we will endeavour to remove off hired skips at our earliest convenience so please bear with us. Once off hired there will be no daily rental charges added to your bill.
In order to prevent debris falling off during transit, the skip must not be loaded above the top of the sides. Skips should only be filled level with the sides and not heaped above this as they need to be netted safely for transit, dangerous skips will not be collected until rectified by the hirer. If the skip is above load level but can be netted and carried safely, we will remove the skip at a charge to the hirer of £40.00 for 8 tonne skips, £30.00 for 4 tonne skips and £20.00 for 2 tonne skips (all charges are plus VAT).
If a service is requested or the skip is off hired it is the responsibility of the hirer to ensure the skip is fully accessible at all times for collection/service. Any overfilled skips, delays or wasted journeys where we are unable to deliver/collect/service the skip due to access issues or obstruction will be assessed and charged for accordingly.
The hirer is fully responsible for all waste deposited in the skip, this includes all materials that may have been deposited by third parties or fly tipping.
