Location: Police Operational Command Centre
Sector: Site Clearance, Aggregate Supply & Waste Management
Period: 2016
Project
Omega is currently the largest mixed-use development site in the North West. With immediate access to the region’s motorway network from Junction 8 of the M62, it’s unrivalled location has already proved attractive to Brake Bros, Hermes Parcelnet, Travis Perkins, Asda and most recently the Hut Group and Plastic Omnium. ISG were engaged to construct a new warehouse and distribution facility for global brand Amazon.
This is a new build £44m facility for the Police; providing a three storey building to house the Force’s Matrix Serious and Organised Crime Unit, administration and support services, and smaller buildings for dog kennels, fuel station, and gatehouse.
This is part of the long term strategy to improve the force’s buildings and estate, increasing efficiency, and reducing operational costs.
Scope of Works
CCC was involved from the start of the project, providing site clearance at the start of the build. We then imported recycled and quarried aggregates for the groundworks. Once into the construction phase we provided the main contractor and sub-contractors with a waste management service for the removal of waste and fit out materials from site.
